Have been using this lube in the non-extreme version for years, and when I saw this at Halfords very competitive price thought I would buy and try the extreme!
Its just as good as the non extreme version, you apply and let the lube 'dry off' over night. This then leaves a very robust friction reducing light coating that dose not attract dirt/muck, and is fairly waterproof, though its not that good in constant heavy rain. In my mind, its one of the best chain lubes out there, and I cycle 2000 miles plus each year!
I recommend this product!
I like:price, dose not attract dirt/muck, water resistant, one of the best lubes
I don't like as much:not the best in constant heavy rain

If you have a Truvativ GXP crank set, you are pretty much stuck with using this BB. The quality of the product is good, but due to the way they fit the drive side bearing is not that well protected. In a year, I have got through two of these due to the first having the top hat seal come out exposing the bearing, and the second was just starting to fail when I gave my bike a service!
But all this is down to the design of the BB. There is a ceramic bearing option thats better, just dont look at the price!!
As for halfords side of things, this price is one of the cheapest in the country and click and collect is fab, 95% of the time!!
I recommend this product!
I like:price
I don't like as much:dose not last as long as shimano

Have just covered 20+miles on my Bizango, and having 26 inch wheel MTB's I can tell you you will be amazed with the capability of one of these bike.
First, the bigger wheels smooth bumps out nicely and there is so much more grip. My mate who I was following was spinning up on gravel slopes, but I was not. Even mud I was getting better grip, only having problems in deep mud.
Second, the speed. I was amazed at how easy it was to get speed out of the bike and maintain it with very little effort. I was able to cruse at a full 5mph faster.
There are down sides, one being the 'longer' wheel will track ruts easier and make it harder for you to get out, and the other is it dose feel a bit barge like in handling on tight twisty stuff, but if you ask me that is all made insignificant when compared to all the other advantages. Well done Halfords & Voodoo, a top bike for the money with a very good spec list. I love it and cant wait to get back out on it.
I recommend this product!
I like:spped, grip, spec, finish, ride
I don't like as much:slow handleing in tight corners

Have several pairs of these pedals on my bikes, and they are a very good grippy pedal. The only down sides to them are the paint wears off quick (mud is abrasive so any kind of coating will not last long), and the greese you get with the pedals is too small an amount to grease the bearings. If you buy, then get a grease gun and grease at the same time and first pump grease in untill it comes out of the seals at the sides. Then give them a shot of grease every couple of months. Doing this will make them last for ever. I have a set that have done well over 2500 miles and are still going strong!!
I recommend this product!
I like:good bearings, good grip, wide platform
I don't like as much:paint wears off quick, get a greese gun!!

Have tried these tyres in 2.2 and 2.4. The 2.4 offers more grip than the 2.2 due to its size, but also the tread is (though the same design) different in that its wider spaced so is better cleaning when in mud. I have tried the Rubber Queen 2.2 as well, and that tyre offers better grip, though not as fast and is heavier than this 2.4 Mountain King. As for comments about it not being the same tyre as in the picture, this is right as the 'carbon effect' side wall is the protection model that costs approx twice the price and is hand made! This though is not just Halfords using the wrong picture, every web site selling Continentals also use the more expensive tyre picture when selling the lesser models.
I recommend this product!
I like:good grip, good cleaning in mud, fast rolling, light
I don't like as much:not the best

Have tried these tyres and am fairly happy with them for the money. They give better grip in loose and soft conditions to the cross king, and are a fairly fast rolling tyre. However they do not grip as well as the rubber queen and for a tyre of the same size are smaller so don't have the comfort of a large air cushion. Also when a trail gets damp at the start of a rain storm, they offer near zero grip on stones, almost to the point of feeling like you are on ice!! Good but not excellent tyre for general use.
I recommend this product!

Have just put these on my bike and am really impressed. On hard surfaces, they do drag and are not a match to the cross or mountain king for speed. However due to there size there ride is real comfortable and grip is fab. In a rather muddy forest of dean on the week end, and there was not many places these tires would not go!
I recommend this product!
I like:price, size, grip, comfort
I don't like as much:slow on hard surfaces, size (big for some bikes)

Just fitted two of these to my 09 Carrera Fury. What a difference, the tyres run almost silently and are very fast rolling. Grip levels are high, inspiring very confident fast cornering. They do get a bit unstuck in mud, but then with a low knob tread like this what tyre would not!! Well recommended."
I recommend this product!
I like:light, fast, good grip, low cost
I don't like as much:not for deep mud.

This bike is a rocket ship! I have three hardtail MTB's, and this is the lightest and fastest of them all. Its not all been plain sailing mind, as have had a Juicy 3 leak and replaced under warranty and the fork is a pain to get the right set-up, but when you do its great. The Speed king tyres don’t last long (600 miles with rotation front to rear), watch the paint as its thick and chips easily and the saddle is not the best. But other than that, for performance and value you will have to spend a lot more to beat it. Get one!!
I recommend this product!
I like:value, speed, lightness, equipment, looks
I don't like as much:fork set up hard, fragile paint, saddle not great

Have only used this on my chain a couple of times, as I’m not that happy with it. The first time I used, it got washed off in a light rain storm. Second time, the stuff sprayed all over the bike so I cleaned the bike and wiped the chain down only for it to spray everywhere again. I repeated the clean down again and it still spayed everywhere, and if you miss any over time it takes a strong solvent to remove.
No, I do not recommend this product.
I don't like as much:sprayes everywhere, washes off

Tyre widths

Hi, I've got a voodoo Bizango, and I'm looking to put some slick tyres on for a long distance ride, that involves a lot of road work.

What are the minimum width (not diameter) tyres that would fit the rims please?

Think you will get away with a 1.9" tyre ok on this bike!

does the CONTINENTAL Rubber Queen TR come in a wider size than the 2.2 ?

Yes, 2.4 but I don't think Halfords sell them. They are a big volume Tyre for a 2.2 so I would be carefull with a 2.4 as it may not fit your bike.

If you have an old inner tube, cut to size and cable tie it between the fork crown and lower arch over the wheel(or look for an RRP neogaurd), this will stop nearly all the mud flying up and paired with a Crud race pack you will be sorted.

I would go Fury! I have both bike and the Fury has better gears, wheels, fork (though it is harder to set up but fab when you get it right) and a lot lighter and faster. The only down side is the paint is easily chipped and iv had a break replaced under warranty. But what do you ride, are you more a hard pack easy going trail rider (Fury) or an extreme trail rider (XC2)
