I recently bought this unit and used a couple of time for the kids watching DVD at the back while charging my phone at the same time using USB connection. The cable could be a bit longer and a fitting kit wouldn't be missed for the value. Apart from that, I am sure all those has this unit would agreed with me that this is one of those 'Must Have' item in the car/van/as accordingly. Although it is a perfect size for sitting in the cup holder but on the other hand you loose a cup holder if you are two people at the front, and chances of spilling liquid as well.
Overall: I would recommend to other, positively...
I recommend this product!
I like:size shape quality & value
I don't like as much:longer cable to reach as much as practicable.

Seems perfect and exactly what it says on the tin (I guess)! My problem is if I connect the Car DVD Player or even my Laptop on this unit, I cannot charge the phone if needed at the same time. Adding an USB connection would make the unit more than perfect and only then I would say that this unit is one of those MUST HAVE categories. It takes a bit of space but because of the shape, it sits better than other types. Overall, this item is good, but could be better adding a USB connection as well, Still I would recommend to others who needs this for one item to run at a time.
I recommend this product!

The Ring E:Can Inverter converts 12V DC to 230AC, with 150w of power and is designed to run laptop computers, video game consoles and various other electronic devices.

You need to get a powerful one instead from Halfords. Ask them, they will help you to find the one you want. I have seen up-to 500 watt. Choice is yours...

I might be wrong, but I think that is the case...

Will it run GHD Straighteners?

My girlfriend and I are planning a camping trip soon, but she'd like to know if this thing would power a set of straighteners correctly. Will they?
