I bought this bike because of the cost and because it was recommended by Halfords and some positive reviews here, I have to say I'm very disappointed with it overall. I have been back into Halfords on a near weekly basis with this bike, (Luckily I have the bike care plan) The gears are terrible, cheap, rough changing and never last more that a month without needing to bring it back to halfords to get fixed, The bearing in the back wheel have got twice in 4 months and I had to get them replaced by Halfords. The tyres are cheap and are terrible for punctures, I only travel on main roads with good surfaces so there is no excuse for this. (I'm 5'10" and just under 12Stone) When it does actually run its not bad, Its light and quick once you get it going but its reliability is awful, The components are so cheap but I guess what do you expect for this price, I'm looking at buying a better bike for the last few months as this really was the worst buy I've ever had. I wouldn't like to take this off road or it would fall apart, it struggles on smooth main roads so ignore the hybrid title. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend, save up the extra few weeks/months and buy a better bike with more robust gears, tyres and brakes.
You buy cheap - You buy twice.
No, I do not recommend this product.
I like:price but......, guys in halfords are excellent
I don't like as much:terrible rough changing gears, useless brakes, cheap tyres, very hard seat

Long Distance Touring

Would this bike and tyres be robust enough for Lands End to JOhn O'Groats? - WHat weight panniers could the bike take?
Thanks
Not a hope, The tyres are very cheap and can take practically no abuse what-so-ever,
This bike struggles on smooth roads never mind off-road, Its not a real hybrid so for your own sake don't buy thinking it is.
