Good coverage was available from this primer when used as per manufacturers instructions, its not to thin and takes a top coat of Moonlight silver plus lacquer without any reaction and has helped to give an invisible repair. Highly recomended.
I recommend this product!
I like:no runs, can be rubbed down without flaking off
I don't like as much:24 hours required before top coat so use a weekend

Halfords Filler Primer 500ml obtains the optimum adhesion and performance of the finishing paint.

Can I definitely use cellulose paint over this yellow filler primer? I have been told that acrylic and cellulose will react!

Hi there according to what I have been told and learned the hard way, Acrylic can go over age hardened Cellulose but cellulose cannot be used over acrylic without some form of barrier coat product which must not be rubbed through! you may not seem to get a reaction at first but I have experienced Crazing and Cracking of the finished job. It took a complete strip to the beguining and bare metal before it could be remedied. Also allow at least 24 hours between primers and top coats plus lacquers or you could get blistering of the finish due to insufficient drying time and evaporation of the solvents.
