A bus engine 'exploded' next to my car and one whole side of the car got coated in oil and grease. I couldn't get it to budge with normal washing so tried this.
3 or 4 sprays and 10 minutes work and it was good as new. And no need to wax afterwards as the wax is built in. Excellent stuff.
I recommend this product!

Halfords Bug & Tar Remover, removes tree sap, bird lime, tar spots & insect remains.

Is this product safe on wax finished paintwork?

A lot of Tar/Bug removal products are so strong that they also strip off wax finishes applied to car paintwork. Is this product wax safe?
I don't know about the Halfords brand, but I bought the Turtle Wax bug and tar remover and it was fine on wax finished paintwork. It had a wax built in and worked great. It was only a pound more than the Halfords one.
